Planning your travel can be very stressful whether it’s a solo affair or it involves multiple people. Depending on the means you are using, there’s so much to think about yet so little time. Some people begin to plan their trips months before and others wait until the time is right up on their necks which only adds to the stress.
Another thing that adds to the stress is making sure that you have everything with you. From your documents - owe unto you if you forget even one of them - to all your personal items and the clothing you will want to use for different occasions.
If you think buying things at your destination is a good idea, wait until you have to spend time trying to find a shop or an item that suddenly, seems not to exist in the place you are visiting. Better be safe than sorry. If you can get it from your home town, do so.
We now look at the must-have items when you are going on a trip.
A Reusable Water Bottle.
Trust me, this is a lifesaver. You might think about buying one when you arrive at your destination but sometimes things don’t pan out the way we expect them to.
If you are completely new to the area, you might fumble around looking for a shop and struggle to get one.
Plus, if you are visiting a tourist destination, the prices will be high and you will painfully pay for it. Save yourself the shilling by carrying one from home.

Towels.
You are going to stay in a hotel or at a private destination which we expect should have all of these things. That said, it’s always good to air on the side of caution and pack one or two just in case you don’t fancy the kind of towels you are provided with at your hotel. It is not going to crowd your bag.
Extra Bag.
Your suitcase is not enough. Remember, you will not be going around with it every day. Therefore, you need a small backpack or a fabulous handbag you can carry with you when you are out and about. Have something sizeable that can fit in most of your belongings comfortably and that’s durable enough for the activities you plan to engage in.
Toiletries.
Your hotel or place of stay might not offer you everything you’ll need. Have a separate bag where you can keep your wet wipes or hand towels among other things. Most importantly, never forget to carry a pack of sanitary towels with you. Your destination might not have the same products you have in your city and use. This might make you uncomfortable. Depending on your duration of stay and flow, a packet or two will suffice.
All Your Tech.
This might be the most obvious thing to pack but with the exception of your smartphone, you might forget to carry your cables, adapters, earphones and everything you need to keep in touch.
I never really thought that power banks were a big deal until I went to a new place and was moving around the whole day which means I didn’t have that much access to a charging spot. Even if I had, I was busy working with my phone and couldn’t leave it until I was back in my room.

Documentation.
How else are you going to travel without this? Pack all the necessary ones and put them in one place so that you don’t have to unpack all of your items when you have to produce them.
Once you have everything ready to go, have a lovely trip.
