Ladies, we've all been there - that time of the month when our body goes through a rollercoaster of hormonal changes, leaving us feeling moody, bloated and irritable. 

While some of us have a regular menstrual cycle, others may experience irregularities that can make it difficult to predict when Aunt Flo will pay a visit.

Even though we may hate being on our period, nobody ever wants to be caught off guard by the bloody monthly mess.

Knowing that your period is just around the corner would be a lifesaver, as it would help you to plan ahead in terms of your dressing, getting the necessary sanitary products and painkillers if you need them.

So, how can you tell if your period is coming tomorrow? 

There are some telltale signs that your period is on its way, and we're here to help you decode them. So grab a cup of tea, get cosy, and let's talk about the signs your period is coming tomorrow.

Menstrual Cramps.

Many women experience menstrual cramps in the days leading up to their period. These cramps are caused by the contraction of the uterus as it sheds its lining. 

If you experience mild-to-moderate abdominal cramps, it might be time to get your favourite over-the-counter painkillers, as your period might come the next day.


Hormonal changes during your menstrual cycle can cause bloating and water retention. If you notice that your clothes feel tighter or that your stomach feels swollen and uncomfortable, your period may be on its way.

Mood Swings.

Fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone levels can cause mood swings and irritability. If you find yourself feeling more emotional than usual or snapping at loved ones, it could be a sign that your period is coming.

Breast Tenderness.

Many women experience breast tenderness and swelling in the days leading up to their period. This is caused by hormonal changes that can make your breasts feel sore or tender to the touch.


Hormonal changes during your menstrual cycle can also cause fatigue and low energy levels. If you find yourself feeling more tired and sluggish than usual, it could be a sign that your period is just around the corner.


Hormonal changes can also cause an increase in acne and breakouts. If you notice more pimples than usual on your face or body, it might be time to stock up on your feminine products because your period may be approaching.

How To Manage Your Period Symptoms.

If you experience uncomfortable or disruptive symptoms during your period, there are several things you can do to manage them. 

For cramps and discomfort, try taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen. Applying heat to your lower abdomen can also help relieve cramps and discomfort.

To reduce bloating and water retention, try drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy, balanced diet full of fibre, while avoiding salty or processed foods, which can make bloating worse. Additionally, doing gentle exercises, like walking or yoga, can also help reduce bloating and promote relaxation.

For mood swings and irritability, try practising self-care activities like meditation, journaling, or taking a warm bath.  It's also important to get plenty of rest and practice stress-management techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness.

Finally, for breast tenderness and swelling, try wearing a supportive bra and avoiding caffeine and alcohol, which can make the symptoms worse.
