Whatever your reason, losing weight and becoming healthier need not be a long tedious affair. Here’s a look into clever ways you can knock off those kilos fast.

Weigh Yourself More Often

Are you one of those people who see the weighing scale as an enemy of progress? Who never weighs themselves and prefers to watch for when their clothes get tighter? You need to come up with a better plan.

The scale is not an enemy of progress. It is your accountability partner. Looking at your progress every other day will keep you from cheating on your diet or from having cheat days at the gym. Let your scale keep you on track for that dream body.

Drink More Water

More glasses of water throughout the day will be the reason your skin is thanking you a few months down the line. Even more important, 8 glasses of water taken throughout your day will help get rid of that pot belly.

How? You ask. Often, you confuse thirst for hunger and eat when all you should be taking is a glass of water. Try it. Every time you feel hungry, try taking a glass of water instead. Wait ten minutes to see if you’re still hungry.

Control Your Environment

Sis, if you are trying to lose weight, asking friends to meet you in fast food restaurants is a bad idea. So is stocking your fridge with unhealthy foods and telling yourself that they are just for visitors.

If you are trying to live healthily, cleaning up your environment is one of the best ways to do this. Stick up your fridge with healthy veggies and grains and when going out to eat, opt for restaurants that serve healthy dishes.

Watch Out For Sugar

Have been trying to eat squeaky clean but there are still kilos sneaking their way into your waistline and your thighs? Yes? Watch out for sugar. When it comes to health and weight loss, sugar is the real enemy of progress with its addictive nature and empty calories. You may have given it a boot and have joined the no sugar in my tea club but have you looked at the labels of the other foods you’re consuming?

All those sauces, spices, and even healthy snacks you have taken up could still be packed with sugar. Looks like it’s time to begin treading the labels.

Eat Mindfully

Sis, I hate to break it to you but you see how you eat on the go because you’re trying to save some more time for the hustle? That could be what is making your body hold onto those stubborn kilos.

Try eating more mindfully. Watch your plate, grab a seat and chew your food. This way, you’ll be able to feel the signals from your body telling you it’s time to stop.
