We are known for carrying many things when we are going out for work, to visit a friend or even a stroll around and that’s because there are things we can’t just do without.

Every woman has the essentials that help her get through the day without feeling agitated. From the outside, we might seem like we can get through but trust me when I tell you that it’s the little things that make our day.

So crucial are these things that we might not be able to focus on the task at hand if we lack them. Your’s truly used to think that women exaggerated the need for some of these things until I realised their needs

Without further ado, here are some things that you should always bring with you when leaving the house.

Sanitary Towels.

Whether you know how to calculate your safe days or not, you must never step out without a piece of two of these.

Sometimes, the periods come when you least expect them. Most of us get a hint when they are about to come because we experience the symptoms but we don’t want to risk.

The last thing you want is to have to run around looking for sanitary towels from your colleagues, friends or even strangers.

We know how disorienting this can be and soiling your clothes makes things even worse so don’t get caught off guard.

Always be prepared. If you aren’t using them, you might help someone else who is in need. Make it a point to always have them and when you switch your bag, transfer them into your next carry-on.

A Handkerchief.

We tend to think that handkerchiefs are only necessary when we have a cold. Handkerchiefs are a must-have for all sorts of reasons. You might need something to wipe your items or dry off your wet palms.

If you are someone who is easily moved to tears, you can use it to wipe them off. If it’s a new piece, you can assist someone.

There’s just no reason not to have one. Plus, they now come in all sorts of styles so you’ll look fancy while at it.

Hard Cash.

I know, I know, we are now in the digital era and some of us hardly carry cash around. It’s all on our mobile phones and if we really need it, we’ll walk to an ATM and get some.

That said, we all need to have some cash with us. You never know what might happen. Your phone might fail or the ATM and M-Pesa agents might not be as accessible.

What if you don’t have money on your e-wallet or are transacting with someone who only wants cash?

Tissues.

If there is one thing I’ve learnt is to always have this just in case you have to use a public toilet. It’s so unpleasant when you need to go for a call and the facility you are in isn’t providing tissues.

Yes! There are facilities that don’t provide these especially if it’s one that the public uses often. Having yours on hand will save you a lot of discomforts.

Plus, if you need to wipe off anything, these will come in handy.

Lotion.

You always need to have your hands in perfect shape. Imagine greeting someone and you feel the roughness of their palm.

You might never want to shake their hands again. Lotion helps to keep your hands moist and presentable.

Additionally, every time you wash your hands, you can avoid the ashiness by moisturising. Apart from that, you might need to apply lotion on other parts of your body for the same effect.

A Bag.

Sometimes you will wear a dress, skirt or even pants that don’t have any pockets. You might not intend to buy anything but at times, having busy hands can be annoying.

A purse is helpful as it allows you to keep all of your things together and makes it easier to walk around.
